Most markets show a retraction except in the Middle East and Africa
The Middle East and Africa was the only region in the world to show an increase in overall hotel project activity at the end of the third quarter, according to September 2022 data from STR.

Most of the region’s pipeline activity is centered in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia (39,070) and the United Arab Emirates (32,373) lead construction activity.
