It will be the second frequency that will link the central zone of Honduras with North America
Night flights will start on November 30, but tickets are already on sale. In this way, Honduras will improve the arrival of passengers to one of the most connected airports in the United States.
Spirit Airlines was the first airline to fly from Palmerola International Airport and is the first low-cost airline to fly to Central Honduras.
Mauricio Acosta, general manager of the airline in Honduras, reported that the flight will arrive from Fort Lauderdale to Palmerola at 1:30 AM and will depart back at 2:30 AM. “This additional flight provides the Tegucigalpa region with another convenient option for our guests who want to enjoy Honduran culture and those who want to visit friends and family,” said the executive.
Peter Fleming, representative of Palmerola International Airport, explained that Spirit will bring an A-320 aircraft with capacity for 182 passengers for this connection. “Palmerola continues to grow in connectivity, offering more options for our passengers. This shows the confidence that the airlines have in the operations that we are conducting,” he said.
The new and modern air terminal has almost 40,000 square meters and since its first six months of operation it has considerably increased the number of air traffic in the Central zone of Honduras.
