The Prime Minister and the Ministers of Health, Interior, Tourism and Transport concluded that, effective Sunday, January 9 .2022, vaccinated/recovered foreign nationals (according to the Ministry of Health’s definitions) from countries on the orange list will be allowed to arrive in Israel, subject to filling out an online form ahead of time, taking a PCR or antigen test before boarding the flight, taking a PCR test upon arrival in Israel, following which they will go into isolation for 24 hours or until they test negative (whichever is earlier)
Unvaccinated/non-infected foreign nationals (according to the Ministry of Health’s definitions) will not be allowed to arrive in Israel.
Foreign nationals from countries on the red list will not be allowed to arrive in Israel, save for exceptions approved by the Exceptions Committee.
Update to the countries on the red list
The Country Classification Committee in the Ministry of Health submitted its recommendation to remove the following countries from the red list and to include them in the orange list: South Africa, Hungary, Nigeria, Spain, Portugal, France, Canada.
The countries that remain at this stage on the red list:
United Arab Emirates, United States, Ethiopia, United Kingdom, Tanzania, Mexico, Switzerland and Turkey.
