Emirates visits Argentina in search of pilots

Emirates returns to the country to invite experienced Argentine commanders to apply to be part of its “Direct Entry Captains” program for its Airbus A380 and A350 fleet that will join next year

As part of the expansion of the airline’s wide-body fleet and in response to exceptional demand across the network, on November 10 and 11, Emirates will visit the Argentine capital as part of its “Pilot roadshows” to present to the company and the multiple opportunities it offers to Argentine pilots; both First Officers and Commanders.

These sessions will take place at the Marriott Buenos Aires Hotel, located at 551 Carlos Pellegrini Street. On November 10, two presentation sessions will be held, the first at 11 a.m. and the second at 2 p.m. On November 11 there will be a session at 10 in the morning.

For Emirates pilots, commanding the airline’s fleet is professionally satisfying, rewarding and exciting. This is stated by the Argentine B777 captain Francisco Schwenger: “Becoming an Emirates Captain was a rewarding experience for me and has allowed me to advance my aeronautical career in the largest international airline in the world. Not only was I able to gain invaluable experience as Captain of Boeing 777 widebodies on a renowned airline like Emirates, but I have been part of the fleet training department for three years. As a rating examiner, I am involved in the certification for this specific aircraft. Being part of Emirates, which has such a wide network of destinations, allows me to fly around the world. As a member of the flight deck team for 18 years, working for the airline has proven to be both unique and rewarding, with ongoing learning opportunities, excellent salaries and benefits, as well as the opportunity to be based in the beautiful city of Dubai.”

Currently, 319 Argentines work at Emirates as crew members.
