Disney Cruise Line has revealed new details about the two theatrical productions coming to its new ship, just days after the shows were first announced during a presentation by President of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Josh D’Amaro at Destination D23.
Set to sail in summer 2022, the Disney Wish will premiere two original shows at its state-of-the-art Walt Disney Theatre: an innovative Broadway-style version of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “The Little Mermaid” and a cruise launch celebration directed by Captain Minnie, Goofy and an all-star cast of Disney and Pixar characters. On deck, guests will enjoy a new covered pirate party culminating in an impressive fireworks display at sea.

A hallmark of the Disney Cruise Line experience is the unparalleled live entertainment at the Walt Disney Theatre. Aboard Disney Wish, this elegant 1,274-seat show palace will evoke an enchanted forest inspired by scenes from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Fantasia,” complete with an orchestra area and balconies spanning three decks. - Goofy will sail out into the big blue ocean where Crush and Squirt – the turtles from Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” – will teach him to “Go with the flow” in an energetic production of the song fans will recognize from “Finding Nemo – The Musical.” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
- In an original arrangement exclusive to this show, heroines Elsa, Moana and Merida will perform a powerful medley of “I’m Free”, “How Far I’m Going” and “Touch the Sky”, encouraging Goofy to step into the unknown.

This fast-paced musical comedy is based on the classic Disney Animation Studios tale in which Aladdin meets the Genie, battles the evil Jafar, and falls in love with Princess Jasmine.
Iconic scenes and songs from the film will be recreated on stage with an all-new production and theatre-filling projection design, developed exclusively for the Disney Wish. Highlights include a spirited, Las Vegas-style rendition of “A True Friend”; an impressive recreation of “An Ideal World” on a flying magic carpet; and a solo performance by Jasmine titled “To Be Free,” created for Disney Cruise Line by Grammy Award-winning composer Alan Menken.
Pirate Night with a Rock and Roll Twist
Another favorite Disney Cruise Line guest experience will return aboard Disney Wish in a whole new way with the premiere of Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party, a new take on the iconic nightly celebration on deck of the fleet that will undoubtedly delight everyone alike.
On a special night of each cruise, guests of all ages can don their wildest pirate attire and head to the upper decks for an unprecedented rock and roll show at sea, complete with fireworks at sea as only Disney can do.
Hosted by Captain Redd – descendant of the famous redhead from the theme park attraction Pirates of the Caribbean – the show will feature live music, extraordinary stunts, special effects and plenty of surprises. Throughout the party, she and her band of buccaneer rockers will perform famous radio hits of the genre, as well as a bizarre rendition of the classic pirate theme “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life for Me)”.
When Redd assembles a fearsome council of captains, including the notorious scoundrel Captain Jack Sparrow, they’ll unlock a glittering treasure that will light up the night sky: a fantastic fireworks display underscored by an original arrangement of the sensational soundtrack of the Walt Disney Studios “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies.
